"This is the first time we've accomplished such a goal so I couldn't be more proud of the girls for this goal," said Christine Roblin, who has coached there for five years. "We had struggled for some time and we improved last year and won the division championship. The year before we had a losing season. Now here we are."

Highlights: Plainview JFK defeated Manhasset, 4-3, to take the Conference II Team Championships at Jericho High School. Allie Rothstein and Laura Gonson defeated Charlotte Burch and Lizzie Kreitman, 6-4, 6-7, 7-6 (7-3) in third doubles. The match began on Friday and was called for darkness. Today, the the girls played the last set and tiebreaker to determine the championship.

Highlights: Jessica Schmidt and Sara Chung defeated Lauren Mateja and Emily Klein, 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5), at third doubles to clinch the match and a postseason berth for Commack (5-6) in a League I tiebreaker.
