Earl Barron signed a 10-day contract with the Knicks in early April 2010. Though his Knicks career was short-lived, Barron was productive. He averaged a double-double (11.7 points and 11.0 rebounds) during his stint with the team, including a memorable 17-point, 18-rebound performance in his second game.

The Knicks eventually signed Barron for the rest of the season, and he appeared in seven games including six starts.

Like future Knicks Jeremy Lin, Barron went undrafted. And like Lin, Knicks fans immediately took to Barron, even referring to him as Earl "The Pearl," a la former Knick great Earl Monroe. Unlike Lin, though, Barron was unable to spur the Knicks, as the team finished 29-53, well out of playoff contention.

Barron signed with the Phoenix Suns in November 2010.
